Dr. Xiaoyuan Yi is a senior researcher at Microsoft Research Asia. He received both his B.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Maosong Sun. His research interest lies in Societal AI, Responsible AI and Natural Language Generation (NLG), aiming to improve AI through interdisciplinary perspectives and ultimately improve human well-being. He published over 50 papers at top-tier venues such as ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, AAAI, IJCAI, etc. He received best paper awards at several conferences, e.g., Chinese Conference on Computational Linguistics and International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applicantions, and other honors such as Xinhua Net The 10 Most Influential People on the Internet, Rising Star Award of IJCAI Young Elite Symposium, Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by China Computer Federation (CCF),and Rising Stars in Social Computing by The Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).
